Incisions are made inside the hairline and at the temple, and they will run in front of the ear then behind the ear. The loose skin is separated from underlying tissue and the excess skin is removed. Dr. Marvel can then tighten connective tissue and sagging muscles; in some bases fat deposits can be removed from beneath the chin and the neck.
Depending on if other procedures are performed at the same time, a face lift can take from three to five hours. Since the incisions are made in inconspicuous places, scarring is minimal.
