At this time, your face will be cleansed and ointments may be applied to speed up the healing process. After the crusts fall off, your skin might appear quite pink. This coloration will fade a few weeks after your chemical peel. During this period, special ointments, soaps and cosmetics may be recommended.
Your skin must not be exposed to direct or reflected sunlight for several months after a chemical peel and you should wear sunscreen at all times when out of doors.
